As a part of their three film deal, Jio Studios and Drishyam Films’ first feature Aadhaar directed by National Award winning filmmaker Suman Ghosh, produced by Manish Mundra is slated for a winter release on 6th December. The film stars Viineet Kumar who won the audience’s hearts with Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz and will soon be seen in the much anticipated Saand ki Aankh and the Netflix Originals Bard of Blood. The film’s stellar cast also includes Raghubir Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra, Ishtiyak Khan and debutante actress Prrithvi Hatte. The film will also have its world premiere at the upcoming 24th Busan International Film Festival to be held from 3-12 October 2019.
Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar will be seen as India’s oldest sharp shooters- Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar- in the upcoming movie Saand Ki Aankh, based on real incidents. The two actresses have worked together for the first time and Taapsee Pannu in a recent interview to a daily was all praise for her co-star.
Calling Bhumi an intelligent actor, Pannu said that the former preps for the part and does her homework well. Pannu also said that Bhumi has a notebook in which she writes her notes for various scenes. Comparing herself to Bhumi, Taapsee said that she is more of a spontaneous performer and that looking at Bhumi, she felt like a “useless actor”. Taapsee said Bhumi knows how to use her surroundings and the props, unlike many actors.
The two actresses went through a rigorous shoot schedule as they would sit for hours to look like 60-year olds with the help of prosthetics, learn to shoot, perfect their dialect and much more. Bhumi, in fact, had an allergic reaction to the prosthetic makeup due to which her face had severe rashes for a couple of days.
Taapsee also spent a great amount of time with the octogenarians to get her character just right.
Recently, Taapsee’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual, Game Over, also dubbed in Hindi, released.
